Wienen Motorsport’s Chad Wienen was back to the center of the box this past weekend at Sunset Ridge MX in Walnut, Illinois for the sixth round of racing in the 2017 AMA ATV MX Pro National Championship Series
Hot and humid weather conditions greeted the racers of the Wiseco ATV Motocross National Championship (ATVMX) presented by CST Tires, an AMA National Championship, as they competed at round six, yesterday, June 17. Threatening rain showers held off, making for a great day of racing as fans witnessed Chad Wienen take his Wienen Motorsports/SSi Decals/Walsh Racecraft/Yamaha/Maxxis/7240-backed machine to the middle of the podium.

The last few weeks have been hectic ones for recently turned 25-year-old Cody Janssen. His riding schools, national events, local events, along with all the prep work that goes into it, has him admitting sometimes it’s hard just to find enough time to breathe. But the good news Janssen and his supporters is things are rounding into form as we find ourselves in June, the heart of the ATVMX season.
Ford Brothers Racing team had many reasons to celebrate at the 2017 ATV MX Muddy Creek race. Proving once again not to believe what you read, the weather that had predicted rain showers ended up being perfect the entire weekend. Friday practice was cloudy with a chance of speed. And it was fast.
With a 2-3 finish, Wienen Motorsports’ Chad Wienen finished third overall this past weekend at Muddy Creek Raceway.
Coming into the Muddy Creek ATVMX National fresh off his first overall win of the season, Maxxis/Elka/Liquid Wrench/Honda’s Joel Hetrick carried the momentum with him to earn his second win of the season in Blountville, Tennessee today, Saturday, June 3.
Maxxis/Elka/Liquid Wrench/Honda’s Joel Hetrick travels to the Muddy Creek ATVMX National this weekend, June 3 and 4, fresh off his first overall win of the 2017 season. Hetrick and the rest of the AMA Pro field is set to put on another great show at the fifth round of the Wiseco ATV Motocross National Championship (ATVMX) presented by CST Tires, an AMA National Championship.
